This next T20 Blast match is going to be played between Somerset and Glamorgan, both teams that have lost their most recent match. There is a long way to go but with rain around, a poor start can quickly turn into something you cannot recover from.

As two teams that have serious hopes of making the playoffs, we can expect some improvements in this match from each of them.

The weather forecast for Taunton on the match day is pretty good and we should hopefully see the team battle it out on the ground.

Somerset vs Glamorgan T20 Blast 2020 is going to be played at the Cooper Associates County Ground, Taunton on the 1st of September 2020.

Somerset fell 9 runs short of their target in the previous match against Northamptonshire. It was a poor batting performance from a team that we know can do better. Steven Davies and Tom Abell both failed to get a decent score under their belt while James Hildreth got a start and then threw it away.

An attacking 41 from Roelof van der Merwe down the order made the scorecard look a lot closer than the match actually was.

We expect a better batting performance from Somerset. Cricket Betting Tips They are playing at home and the talent that they have in their team is undoubtedly good. Tom Abell is the player we are looking at to make an impact.

Craig Overton and Ollie Sale picked up two wickets each but Overton went for 49 runs in his four overs. For a former England international and the leading bowler for Somerset, that performance was utterly forgettable.

Roelof van der Merwe could not exert any sort of control either. Glamorgan’s batting is vulnerable and Somerset will want to take advantage of that in this upcoming contest.
Chris Cooke was the lone man fighting for Glamorgan in their previous match against the Birmingham Bears. He scored 72 from 56 deliveries and ensured that Glamorgan would finish with something to bowl at. In the end, 140 was never going to be enough but his effort was admirable one the less.

We have some serious doubts about the Glamorgan batting lineup and worry about them going into a slugfest against Somerset. Matches at Taunton are usually high-scoring and Glamorgan may not be able to compete.

They have Chris Cooke, an excellent batsman, and Andrew Balbirnie, the Irish skipper, but the rest of the batting is pretty weak. The likes of Billy Root, Daniel Douthwaite, and Kiran Carlson are talented but they cannot be expected to win too many matches on their own.

The bowling is in better shape thanks to Timm van der Gugten, Merchant de Lange, Prem Sisodiya, and Andrew Salter in the lineup.

They are going to have their work cut out for them in Taunton but if they can get some early wickets, they may be able to keep Somerset down to a gettable total.

The team that wins the toss is going to want to field first. The pitch does not change much but defending a total can be quite tricky at Taunton.

The weather in Taunton is expected to be quite nice for cricket on match day. The pitch at Taunton is flat and perfect for batting. The ball comes on nicely and flies over the small boundaries. It is difficult to say what a par total at the ground may be but we don’t think teams batting first are going to be comfortable defending anything less than 190.

We are backing the home team in this contest. Somerset has the batting firepower to take advantage of the conditions. They also have the experience to be able to bounce back from a rough start. The depth in the batting makes Somerset the favorite in this contest.

Bet on Somerset to win.
