The Trinbago Knight Riders are scheduled to play two matches in two days to start off September. This match against the St. Kitts and Nevis Patriots is going to be their second one and we should not rule out fatigue as a factor.
As things stand right now, TKR has won six out of the six matches it has played in CPL T20 2020. It would have completed its seventh match as well by the time this one rolls around. SNP, on the other hand, has won just one out of the seven matches it has played.
That solitary match came thanks to some brilliance from Evin Lewis with the bat and it remains to be seen whether someone else can replicate that inning and step up.

It is going to take a very brave man to bet against TKR at the moment. The side is winning even when most of its batsmen don’t perform, it is winning without Sunil Narine, it is winning when it frankly should have no business of winning!
Kieron Pollard played one of the all-time T20 innings in the previous match against the Barbados Tridents to pull off an absolute heist. That was also a match in which TKR decided to give some of its bench a run as they played Tion Webster, Akeal Hossain, and Sikandar Raza.
That shows that TKR is willing to try out new players as well as rest some of its best ones. Make sure you check the final playing eleven before you place your bets because while TKR is a very strong team it may not be playing its best eleven all the time.
The strength of the batting continues to come from Colin Munro, Darren Bravo, and Kieron Pollard. A couple of other players also need to step up and make sure they start contributing in a meaningful manner. Tim Siefert has had a quiet tournament till now and we think he could one of the players that could offer excellent value in this match.
The bowling has been a bit limited since Sunil Narine has been sitting out. Dwayne Bravo has been very expensive and Fawad Ahmed has also not had the kind of impact that was expected. Jayden Seales has been very impressive and it is also great to see Kieron Pollard bowl regularly.
ST KITTS AND NEVIS PATRIOTS
A heavy thumping at the hands of the Guyana Amazon Warriors made an already poor season even worse for the Patriots. They sat out Chris Lynn in the match and replaced him with Kieron Powell. We don’t have anything against Powell but he just does not have the same potential as an out of form Lynn.
It also shows the lack of options that the Patriots have.
We can expect them to stick with this decision at least for a few more matches and that means the pressure of scoring runs is going to fall even more on Evin Lewis and Ben Dunk. Joshua Da Silva was very impressive and scored 59 at number three while Dinesh Ramdin also managed to get some runs under his belt.
The Patriots will know that they need to score heavily to have a chance against the Knight Riders and that may force some of the batsmen to play more aggressively than they are comfortable doing.
The bowling is also not the best for the Patriots. Jon-Russ Jaggesar is the best spinner in their ranks and while Imran Khan has done well, neither of these spinners can be called world-class. On pitches where the spinners have ruled, the Patriots go into the contest with a big disadvantage.
Sohail Tanvir, Alzarri Joseph, and Rayad Emrit round out a decidedly average bowling attack. We would rather see Lynn back in the side for Sodhi to at least give the Patriots a chance of getting a victory.

A fair bit of rain has been forecast in Tarouba on match day and so we could have some delays. The ground staff has been excellent at getting the match underway once the rain does stop, though, and so we will hopefully not have a washout.
The pitch will have gotten some time to recover in the break but the underlying nature is not going to change. Plenty of help to the spinners is still likely.

There is no way that we can recommend backing the Patriots in this match. It will take a special inning from one of the Patriots or a complete misstep from TKR to be able to lose this match. The batting power and depth in the Trinbago Knight Riders camp is much better than the Patriots. Their bowling is also superior.
